Sue, I imagine that with it being the weekend, not much is happening, so take this time and rest as much as you can and get stronger. Keeping you in my prayers that things begin to move along on their own for you. Bless you hun.

Sorry late in seeing this post. Haven't been on alot the past couple of days.
I sure hope things start to do an about face for you. I am so sorry you are going through all this, so not fair! I am and will continue to send my thoughts out to you and family.
I hope Mert is doing okay through all this. It must be very hard on him also.
I am very grateful that Ellen has kept Jackie abreast of things, thank you so very much.

Sorry guys... I'd have posted something earlier but I didn't hear from Sue's sister until a short bit ago.
God love her for keeping us infomed!
Last night after another enema, Sue finally had some "movement". This is a major accomplishement becasue they were looking at having to possibly do a Ileostomy if things didn't change. NOT; a good thing for someone with major breathing problems.
Anyway; it sounds like she may have turned, or is turning a corner.
Tonight I received the following.....
"Sue is much stronger today. I will let you know what happens tomorrow"
When Ellen sends e's it's from her phone so they're understandably brief.
So; may I suggest we keep up the positive thinking and prayers and let's bring our little Miss Sunshine back home to us!

She has read all of your encouraging notes tonight. You mean a great deal to her-she calls you family. She was able to walk the hall today, and is in much less pain.

I got a quick note from Sue's sister (Ellen) this evening....
"She is scheduled for physical therapy for the next three days so she won't be released before then. Yesterday seems to have been the best day so far. I am praying for improvement tomorrow."
I sure hope she gets home here soon..... She's been through the wringer I think ......

I guess we will have to be patient in waiting for Sue to come home.
As long as she is showing some improvements. That is the important thing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Sue. Get well soon so you can come home. Miss all you postings everyday. Heck we all do.

Wellll.... I had a great day! I got to speak with Mert this morning and MOST importanty of all..... I got to speak with Sue! She's sounding pretty darn good if I do say so. Unfortunately she's going through the "this Dr is ordering or saying this" and another Dr is saying something different. Kinda weird (de ja vu) cause Gwen had called earlier (and yes; Chris continues to do great) but it's the same thing med wise.... COMMUNICATION and CO-ORDINATION is the key with our regular meds! Don't these "specialists" know this? Anyway...... we talked about a few things but the best was just hearing her voice again! And; she was asking about each of you by name! Even asking if you were out of the hospital Linndie. Uhhhh; that's our Sue. (Her mind I think is like a steel trap) She was saying that she's doing Physio (she has steps at home so they''re trying to help her in that regard), and they may be ordering a hospital bed and walker for "at home".... Deetsk; are you still using yours? Wanna share? But; she may end up getting transferred to another facility first; sort of like a nursing home, to help her get some strength and limb use back. She's currently getting up etc though still having a degree of pain and "unfortunately" her bowels are not quite working the way that we'd hope. At least not w/o some help. But..... she's getting there! She sends her love...... and Heaven knows we love her as well! |

Good news about Chris. Dear Sue. Who'd a thought it was that bad. I just hope everything gets straightened out. I hope you're doing EVERYthing you need to do to get better.

Thanks Jackie, it was so good to hear that you were talking to Sue, that's great. Sue, it's great that you are getting up more and in therapy. Even better that they are now working on how to help you out at home. Keep up the good work, and get back to up soooooon.

HEY HEY HEY, FAT ALBERT! that's me, in case you haven't surmised. Dr's say my intentstines are all stretched and ballooned out and my tummy is even bigger than it was before. hideous looking. But that's just vanity. I am still in a considerable amount of pain and it's been even harder to deal with since they took away the IV pain meds. I found out I don't get loopy on morphine like my dad did, thank goodness. By the way, things really started moving this afternoon and I've been going non=stop pretty much throughout the rest of the day and evening. I hope I am able to get some sleep tonight because I am exhausted. The Visiting Nurse Association is calling in the morning to set up visit times at home. I have a hospital bed and walker, but Mert's taking back the wallker on Mon. as I don't need it.
OK, m ust get to bed. Thanks for all your prayers, and the lovely Spring basket of flowers. They were much appreciated and the flowers put a smile on my face.
