Thank for warm welcome John - real name is (Marcy) but use duksoup in most correspondence. Feel so fortunate to have found this site - I have related to so many of the issues that I only thought I had and found the folks warm and wonderfully optimistic with what we all have to work with. My Dr. recommended DAXAS and this is how my journey bought me here - I was inquiring about it and found COPD in Canada. How lucky I am.

Thank you Mary -I have strong Family support and a husband with a halo over his head. I am in final stages of COPD - it truly has been an amazing journey, one step at a time - Im always grateful when I wake up and find I can `puff`my way through another day - I have been 27 years now and with lots of optimism keep going forward - I find sites with folks like you so comforting - COPD can isolate your thoughts when you don`t want to share with Family what your going through. Your take care and thank you for angel.

Hi Marcy, Nice to 'meet' you. We are actually fairly close neighbours as we live in Lake Cowichan (kinda just over that big bump in the landscape behind you ). Right now Gwen and I are in Victoria as I get over my surgery, but when I am back on my feet again it would be nice to meet - I think that there are a few other members in the lower part of the island as well so maybe we could all meet for a meal sometime.
