I really don't have a lot of info at this point other than I got a message from WendyCo letting me know Mary's in the hospital. Was admitted Saturday. I've known Mary for as long as I've been dealing in the on line COPD world. If you've been around for a bit; you may know her as well. Mary's probably in the very severe category and still tries taking care of things. She's also the wife of hubby (Joe) who has been battling cancer for a couple few years; her Mom has had her battles as well. This is a good lady who has had many battles..... Please say a prayer for her, and her family. I know Joe's been having a rough go lately himself. I hope we hear a bit more soon.....

Sending up prayers that they find the problem and can fix it, and can keep comfortable. Then get her back home asap.

Mary/AZ, hope they can figure out what is making you sick and can get you back home to Joe quickly. For now, just rest and try to let others handle the home responsibilities while you recover.
Prayers and angels surrounding you, Sue

Thanks Zoom... Mary's been part of the various on line COPD families (and cancer too now that I think of it) for awhile now. When I think back; WOW. A lot of water. She was probably one of the 1st people I met after my own COPD Dx and went looking for info. Mary; I know that in time you're gonna read these posts so I'm gonna say, fow when you do..... you need this break. Think if it as a "time out" and "re-grouping". Hell of a way to do it; I know. BUT; long past due. Let's now work at you getting stronger O.K.? We love you..... J

Mary, there was one dr in the team that was trying to figure out what to do with me that didn't give up trying 'that one more thing'. If not for him I would probably not be here as all the other drs. had basically given up on me. It was sheer torture what he had me do, wouldn't want to go through it again, but I do cling to the memory of the dr performing the procedure stating that this was the best thing that could be done for me and should do the trick. The surgeon who ordered the procedure was surely guided by the prayers being said by everyone. I pray that you have the same type of experience that I had, the answer to the prayers that a healing be given. God bless you, keep you safe, and heal your body.
Now rest and get strong. Sue

just an added stress for her, Joe (her hubby) was admitted today so she has that on her mind also.....

I saw this y'day Wendy and I've gotta say..... I just shook my head. That poor family. Thank you for letting us know. For as much as I hope you get out real soon Mare; I also hope that you're kept there long enough to get some rest and get your health back on track. It's been such a difficult time for you. Now Joe in the hopital too. I don't know if he's in the same one but if he is I hope your son or someone can take you in the wheelchair to see him. Mary; I've been saying many prayers and I'll continue.... You WILL get stronger Mare and you will get to feeling/doing better.

update Mary did not have as good a day today, several things went wrong and her 02 level dropped into the low 70's and she had a heck of a time breathing (the water bottle wasn't put on correctly so she wasn't getting enough oxygen) she is also very worried because her doc wants her to go to a rehab center before going home. She is going to look into a full time nurse at home....
Joe has fluid in his lung and won't go home til that's under control again she said to thank everyone for their support....

Thank you for the update on Mary and Joe Wendy..... we so appreciate it.
I hope they can manage a nurse at home..... You'd think with a patient with severe breathing problems they'd be "more alert" That's why she was admitted in the first place! Sometimes I'd just like to..... (use your imagination)
Let's hope that this all works out for her...... and Joe.

Thanks Wendy. I'm so glad you're home Miss Mary. I think you're like many of us that seem to do better "at home" than in the hospital. For now..... rest and try to get some strength back. We'll be here waiting for you when you're strong enough to visit with us on line and, with a little help from our friend Wendy, we'll be keeping tabs on you.
