I spoke with Sue earlier this afternoon.... She tells me me she loves your cards/messages! It was wonderful to receive them; I'm to say thank you so very much and she loves you all" And; she was specifically asking about a few of you. BTW Peter; I was telling her about your ordeal and she agreed; it was similar to her problem last year. I didn't ask about her scan results or anything.... Anyway; one Dr is saying "release tomorrow" another is saying no. Her family wants her to stay a bit longer. The thing is she's gonna need IV anti treatments at home (probably like the line you came home with Bobbi) but that can't be arranged to start until Saturday. She was telling me the cost of the treatments..... NOT cheap and I think she said she needs 3 types! Anyhowhow.... she also mentioned that she really wasn't feeling much different than when she went in. But; let's face it. It can take awhile.... I told her I'd give her a call tomorrow; so; if she remembers to turn her cell on I'll let you know what I hear. (She doesn't have a phone in her room and she normally doesn't use her cell). Now you know what I know. I will tell you thought it WAS GOOD to speak with her and all things considered; she sounded good.

Sue my thoughts and prays continue to be with you. Ive been where you are it takes a bit but you WILL get better. Its not to bad dealing with the IV Antis at home I was on them 2 weeks at home and only had a nurse come in a couple times. Don did it at night and in the AM. And had it all ready for me for afternoon. If the put a piggyback on your line from the PIC you can do it easy yourself if need be. Good Luck.

Thank you for getting the update Jackie, hope you get the chat with her tomorrow too. Will be good for both of you.
Sue, glad to hear you are doing a bit better, and I'm sure the 'spot' will turn out to be phlem, or scar tissue. That's what they said mine was after a lot of fuss and hoopla, and a needle biopsy. Anyway, keeping you iin my prayers and don't you come home too soon!!! Stay till you're sick of the joint. By the way looked you up on google maps, it's about 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. from here. Something to think about if I ever get a passport. Be well, luv ya hon

This is Sue's daughter again. I spoke to my mom for a bit yesterday. She is working with a caseworker to find out what her insurance will cover on the IV antis. So far they won't cover a visiting nurse to the house so the 2nd option is to have her in a nursing home until the treatments are over. It is not a happy situation and even the nursing home might not be covered. It's times like this that you find out your insurance is not really working for you. I'll talk to her tonight but as of yesterday she did not know when she would be released from the hospital and where she would go after that. I will update when I can.
Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts. It gives her strength and keeps her spirits up.

Oh Lord love her, sending out healing prayers for you Sue, and one to get the insurance mess fixed so that all you need to worry about is getting better. Is it possible to just stay in the hospital until you can go home?? I know they usually want the bed, but if there is no other place for you to go, I think they have to keep you, as you still need medical care. I think under extra stress like this I would tend not to be so strong and helpful to having them ship you off somewhere else. Espcially when you cant' cover the cost. Meanwhile, BIG HUGGGS TO YOU AND A NICE SHOULDER RUB Take it easy hun.

I was sure hoping for better news today. It will all work itself out in the end I'm sure and I hope it happens quickly. I know she'd be happier at home, as we ALL would be, but sometimes that's not possible.
Sending healing white light to get you better Sue. We're all sending prayers to get you over this hump. Thinking of you all the time.

so sorry sue. they did not pay for my iv products they were almost 400 out of pocket. they did pay all but 6 bucks a day for the nurse. but i really didnt need a nurse other then one time to show me what to do. i would think you would have to stay in the hospital if you cant pay for the antis. but a nursing home for a couple weeks wouldnt be so bad ive thought of doing that a couple times myself. i worked in many and most times the ppl working there are great. try to keep your head up im praying for you.

You know; I was talking to Dave last night about Sue's Insurance situation, or anyone's for that matter when they're ill. A person really shouldn't have to be dealing with things like that when they're sick. To me it's kinda cruel...... But...... Sue's sounding quite upbeat! She sounded really good when I talked with her y'day. She/they had hoped to have the Insurance situation answered/resovled on Friday but..... I guess they all keep the old fashion banker's hours because it didn't happen. As it currently stands; she's resolved herself to the fact that's what she needs to be doing and perhaps wants to do. The Nursing home for a couple/few weeks. She needs the rehab (beyon the daily IV treatments) She tells me she can't move even to get onto her bed very easily. I think she's being wise. I asked what happens if the Ins co says no to the facility. Apparently staying in the hospital is NOT an option; she'll be released regardless. Her Pulmo Dr told her on Friday that if she does go home he figures she'll be back in the hospital within a few days. So; that answers that I guess. She was asking how you were doing Peter with your bowels (something she can certainly relate to) As a matter of fact; the other day she hurt, or wrenched her back. She's put off taking any pain pills for it (it's very constipating and not good in her situation) but she finally had to break down y'day and use them. On the plus side..... her appetitie's good! And; becasue she wasn't crazy about what the hospital was serving for supper, she got the O.K. for Mert (she's on a strict diet I believe) to bring her in a Burrito. Yeah; sound like Sue! She really did sound upbeat guys; it was a joy to talk to her. So; let's pray that the Ins company does the right thing and O.K.'s her move to the niursing Home. (Almost sounds like what Vic's gone through with Rita....) I told her I'd call her on Monday.....

Jackie, thank you for the update, I do pray that the ins.co. does the right thing, but who knows with big bussines. Sue, I'm glad to hear you are eating 'home' type food. Sorry to hear about the back pain, I know it can be really bad for you. Are they giving you the bowel meds. you take at home?? Take things one day at a time, and heal well.

Well Sue, maybe the food will be better at the nursing home. Consider it a holiday. Maybe not as pleasant a holiday as you would wish but enjoy the good parts at least. Thinking about you and praying for you every day.
