I've been prescribed Zenhale and have found it works very well. Since being on in my chest pain (due to asthma) has decreased and my allergy induced asthma has not been as severe. All sounds good, right? Unfortunately, no. I'm still waiting to see the doctor to discuss it but in the meantime I just stopped taking it. Side effects from Zenhale are outweighing the benefits. Side effects include disturbed sleep, rash (between shoulder blades which is every annoying), hoarseness in voice (not just immediately after puffing but all the time - not good for a singer), pressure and pain in left eye and ear (occasional bleeding from ear), constant pins & needles feeling in lower legs and feet, near constant flu-like symptoms, and dangerously high blood pressure (170/84 - 225/180), and muscle cramps. I stopped taking Zenhale just over a week ago and already my voice isn't as hoarse, I'm sleeping a bit better, and my blood pressure is nearing normal (117/75 - 127-84). Low blood pressure is normal for me, so even a high-normal range is a positive change from the dangerously high I experienced while on Zenhale. I still have all of the other side effects but I'm hoping they will subside the longer I'm off it. Being off Zenhale I have started to notice an increase in allergy induced asthmatic reactions and an ever present tightness return to my chest. Now it seems I have a choice of death from asthma (off Zenhale) or death from heart attack or stroke (on Zenhale). I'm looking forward to seeing the doctor but I can't get in for almost a month. If you're considering going on Zenhale, monitor your symptoms and have regular medical appointments.

Angela, so sorry to hear of your experience; side effects can be a bummer. I'm just getting over more than two weeks of side effects from an increase in dosage for a medication. Turns out that putting the dosage back to what it was, was more tolerable. I hadn't heard of Zenhale. I see that it's prescribed to reduce asthma attacks. Hope you can get an appoointment with your doctor sooner. If you haven't, give a call a try - sometimes the stars are properly aligned. Attachment Deleted

Hi everyone! I am a 34 year old female and have had major asthma issues since my son was born months ago. I have always just used my Ventolin when needed but after his birth I found I needed it more and more. I would go through them in a couple weeks. I have major health anxiety and hate taking meds but knew that I couldn't continue they way I was. My quality of life wasn't great being wheezy all the time and having 3 trips to hospital by ambulance because of my asthma. My GP sent me to a pulmonary soctor and though initially I didn't want to take anything, I finally gave in. I was terrified of side effects. Zenhale so far has been so amazing!! The very first dose allowed me the freedom to not take my Ventolin all day which is unreal since I would have to take it every couple hours. I get a bit shaky or nervous for a bit after taking it but it has been a life saver already! I pray it continues to work. I hope everyone here no matter what they take finds relief!

This is an old post, I'm wondering if you have found relief from anything else to use instead of zenhale? As well there are varying strenghts of zenhale, perhaps using one with a lower dose would work?

I suggest that you talk to your doctor about it, as there are a variety of bronchodilators available.

I also have allergies. I use Albuterol and one that works immediately, I don't remember the name so forgive me it's in with my medicine and I take so much there's no way I'm going to find it right now. But if you're interested I will look and write it down symbicort that's what it's called it's a quick and easy way too. It works right away! I have never used zenhale be4 . But I would also check it out with the doctor. I have always had a horse voice, when I sing it's the blues 😂 take care..
