An Irish priest tells his friend, a rabbi, that he has developed a plan of eating for free in really good restaurants.
"I simply go in at well past 9 pm, eat several courses slowly, and linger over coffee and dessert until they are cleaning up. I keep sitting there until eventually a waiter comes up and asks me to pay.
Then I say, 'I've already paid my original waiter who has left for the night.' And, because I am a man of the cloth, the waiter takes my word for it, and I just simply walk out the front door as calm as can be."
The rabbi, clearly impressed says, "Let's try it together this evening."
The priest agrees and books them into an expensive, 5-Star Italian restaurant. They both eat like kings and, just as before, right at 2 am, they are both sitting quietly after enjoying their very full meal. Sure enough, a waiter comes over and hands the priest and the rabbi a bill and asks them to pay. The priest calmly says: "But I've already paid our original waiter who I know has left for the evening."
And the rabbi adds:
"Yes, and ve're still vaiting for the change!"

A Pastor goes to the dentist for a set of false teeth. The first Sunday after he gets his new teeth, he talks for only eight minutes. The second Sunday, he talks for only ten minutes. The following Sunday, he talks for 2 hours and 48 minutes. The congregation had to mob him to get him down from the pulpit and they asked him what happened. The Pastor explains the first Sunday his gums hurt so bad he couldn't talk for more than 8 minutes. The second Sunday his gums hurt too much to talk for more than 10 minutes. But, the third Sunday, he put his wife's' teeth in by mistake and he couldn't shut up. (I love it when I make you smile ... and I KNOW you are smiling!) "Love the people God gave you because He will need them back one day."

Good article David here is a WorkSafe in BC link for homeowners; it has a lot of useful info for anyone; people do not realize that it is a hidden killer. ww2.worksafebc.com/Portals/Construction/HazardousMaterials.asp?ReportID=34092 I work for Metro Vancouver and we have just completed an entire asbestos inventory and training for our workers. When my daughter was house hunting I sent her the website so she would know where to look for it and either not buy the house or get the removal of it done by the owner before purchasing.

Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other. ~Oscar Amringer, "the Mark Twain of American Socialism." I offered my opponents a deal: "if they stop telling lies about me, I will stop telling the truth about them". ~Adlai Stevenson, campaign speech, 1952.. A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country. ~Texas Guinan. 19th century American businessman I have come to the conclusion that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians. ~Charles de Gaulle, French general & politician Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks. ~Doug Larson (English middle-distance runner who won gold medals at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, 1902-1981) We hang petty thieves and appoint the bigger thieves to public office. ~Aesop, Greek slave & fable author
Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber. ~Plato, ancient Greek Philosopher
Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river. ~Nikita Khrushchev, Russian Soviet politician When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become PM; I'm beginning to believe it. ~Quoted in 'Clarence Darrow for the Defense' by Irving Stone. Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel. ~John Quinton, American actor/writer What happens if a politician drowns in a river? It's pollution. What happens if all of them drown? It's a solution ......!!!

You are all right it used to be called a cap fill test when I first starting doing first aid and was used on fingers and toe tips as a circulation assessment. It is no longer a valid test. They still have that info about no nail polish when you go for pulmonary lung testing here in BC. I called them before I went in and they said it was fine to have nail polish/fake nails they just never bothered to take the warning off the instructions.

Welcome and thanks for sharing. Please do keep us updated as Canada seems to be the last place to try out new drugs for anything and as we all know we have to keep changing our meds as our disease progresses.

I had been finding it very difficult to breath when bent over sweeping the dust into a little pan. When I was at the hair dressers I saw the had the shorter broom with long handled dust pan. Light bulb went on; now why hadn't I figured that one out on my own? So off to Canadian Tire I went to get myself one this weekend. What a difference.

Oh yeah, David I also use the Crater Lake kelp from Oregon. I used it for my son when he was diagnosed with ADD. I had found the drugs they gave him left him wired out and laying in bed with his eyes wide open unable to sleep at night. Those drugs did not help him a bit so I took him off and chose the kelp rout and he improved and was able to concentrate better and his grades went up to passing.

So, after searching the web I found out that it is a protected plant in many places. When searching for it they all say sold out except for Taosherb.co. They provide free shipping in the US only and have a toll free #. However I don't think they have the whole root only a tincture or something I kinda whizzed past it as I was honestly looking for a Canadian distributor. Like you Izzie in my younger days I probably picked it and thought it was licorice root when I lived in California foothills.

Living Will Form I, ____________, being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artificial means. Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of pinhead partisan politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depended on it, or lawyers/doctors/hospitals interested in simply running up the bills. If a reasonable amount of time passes, and I fail to ask for at least one of the following: ______a Martini______a Margarita ____ a Scotch and soda ______a Bloody Caesar/Mary ______a Gin and Tonic _______ a Glass of Beaujolais ______a Steak ______Lobster or crab legs ______the remote control ______a bowl of ice cream ______the sports page______ Sex ______or Chocolate, it should be presumed that I won't ever get any better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, and call it a day. At this point, it is time to call the New Orleans Jazz Funeral Band to come do their thing at my funeral, and ask all of my friends to raise their glasses to toast the good times we have had.
Signature:__________________________ Date: __________
P.S. I also hear that in Ireland they have a Nursing Home with a Pub. The patients are happier, and they have a lot more visitors. Some of them don't even need embalming when their time comes. If anyone knows the name of this happy place, PLEASE pass it on!
Life is short. Eat dessert first.

The other one that I am taking right now during the start of allergy season is Sambu Guard it is mostly Elderberry tincture and you have to drink lots of water with it. I only use the one bottle and then give it a rest because I find the effect wears off if you just stay on it. www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=sambu+guardCheck with your Rx person & Dr. especially your Allergist if you have one. This stuff makes coughing up so much easier & better for me. The only time I really have a problem with phlegm is during allergy season of if I am going to start a lung attack so I like to try & stay ahead of the game. I also go on and off cumin as it keeps inflammation down. I will try to find the Osha plant as it s/b native here close to the Rockies & get back to you if I find anything.

It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! They put in a correction the next day. I just couldn't help but send this along. Too funny.

I have stuff that use periodically. I have cleared these with my Rx person, Dr. & pulmonary Dr. I get it from the Alive store. I am at work today but will look up what they are etc. when I get home and pass it on to you. I do takes breaks from this because you are not supposed to use them all the time. Especially the one I like that works so well for phlegm, mucus & such.
