Lennie-I have to use disc as the regular inhalers have something I am alergic to in the delivery; ask your dr. I realize that not all inhalers can come in disc form but it doesn't hurt to ask; I believe they are more expensive but it keeps the hoarseness and sore throat away. Yes Dave - good for you for reading the directions sometimes even the pharmacist forgets to tell us when we get new stuff how many times & how to use it. There was a show on Marketplace this week in Canada about how pharmacies are falling down on the job because of quotas etc. Dr's are just as bad. Everyone have a good breathing day!

Not sure if I have shared this one-apologies if I have:
Inner Peace If you can start the day without caffeine, If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles, If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it, If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time, If you can take criticism and blame without resentment, If you can conquer tension without medical help, If you can relax without alcohol, If you can sleep without the aid of drugs Then You Are Probably The Family Dog! And you thought I was going to get all spiritual ... Handle every stressful situation like a dog: If you can't eat it or play with it, then pee on it and walk away

Hi Robert, I think that sounds like a great X-ray to me. Mine always talks about the nodular mass in my right lung. Thank God that it has stayed the same. My first X-ray was a horror story my doctor thought I had lung cancer but I just knew somehow that it wasn't and it isn't. Have your docotor go over this with you. I find uncertainty make me nervous and upset so I always want to know everything.

Freya was driving her Chevrolet Vega home in New Mexico when she saw an elderly Apache woman walking along the side of the road. She stopped the car and asked the woman if she would like a lift?
With a silent nod, the woman climbed into the car. Freya tried in vain to make conversation with the Apache woman.
The old Apache looked closely at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a red gift bag on the seat next to Freya.
'What's in the bag?' asked the old woman.
'It's a bottle of gin that I got for my husband.'
The Apache woman was silent for another minute or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said, 'Good trade.'

Three virgin sisters were all getting married within a short time period. Mum was a bit worried about how their sex life would get started and made them all promise to send a postcard from the honeymoon with a few words on their first impressions of marital sex. The first girl sent a card from Hawaii two days after the wedding. The card said nothing but: "Nescafe". Puzzled at first, Mum went to her kitchen and got out the Nescafe jar. It said: "Great from beginning to end". Mum blushed, but was pleased for her daughter. The second girl sent the card from the Maldives a week after the wedding, and the card read: "Rothmans". Mum now knew to go straight to her husband's cigarettes to read from the pack: "Super strong King Size". She was again slightly embarrassed but still happy for her daughter.. The third girl departed for her honeymoon in New Zealand .... Mum waited for a week, nothing. Another week went by and still nothing. A month passed; still nothing.. A card finally arrived from Auckland on which was written with shaky hand, "Air New Zealand "..
Mum took out her latest travel magazine, flipped through the pages fearing the worst, and finally found the ad for Air NZ. 'Ten times a day, seven days a week, in all directions.'
MUM FAINTED!!!

It was Marshal Law they locked us down and they would not let anyone in but army and police. They did allow anyone over the passes or the bridge; everything was walked over by military. I have no idea to this day why that was but it made me very angry because I really wanted to leave.

The Cow, the Ant and the Old Fart A cow, an ant and an old fart are debating on who is the greatest of the three of them.
The cow said, "I give 20 quarts of milk every day and that's why I am the greatest!"
The ant said, "I work day and night, summer and winter, I can carry 52 times my own weight and that's why I am the greatest!" Why are you scrolling down? It's your turn to say something.

I agree with all of the above and also believe that environmental atmosphere is a large contributing factor. However I have not seen any scientific studies on this. After discussing my situation with the pulmy specialist we both came to the conclusion that my smoking (of course #1 fatctor) and the fact that I lived through Mt. St. Helen's when I lived in WA 30 miles as the crow flies from the blast. We were not allowed to leave the town of Packwood for 3 weeks unless we had breathing problems. I really wanted to leave but was not manifesting symptoms at that time so could not leave until the ban was lifted. We could not even see 3 feet in front of us and could not keep the ash out of anything. I really think that it would be interesting for someone to do a scientific research project on that area in realtionship to genes and environmental attributes of those still there.

My pulmy Dr explained to me that any meds we take react differently on each individual. Sometimes something we have been taking for a long time no longer works for us and we need something else. Going back to the Dr is the only way to find out what is going on.

Good ideas. I put safety pins with a loop for bed controls on my brothers blankets after his stroke. I never thought about marking the bottom of his sheets. Awesome stuff.
